Classes

Temple Israel of Long Beach is dedicated to helping people learn about Judaism.  Every Saturday during Daylight Savings Time, we have a class one hour before Mincha.  See This Week at Temple Israel for exact times and details about the class).

Currently, Temple Israel is also offering a Basic Judaism Course on Tuesdays 7:30 PM.  This has been an ongoing class that has covered Hebrew Reading (we repeat the Hebrew reading class every November), the Siddur (prayer book), Jewish Literature, holidays, practices, etc.  People are welcome to join any time.  The current topic of our class is always listed in the notices in This Week at Temple Israel.  You can find the material for everything we have studied so far here.  Students are welcome to participate in this course in contemplation of an adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or just to learn more about Judaism.  There is no charge.  if you have any questions, please contact Rabbi Gradofsky through the office, or by e-mail to .

On Sunday mornings we have a Talmud class at 7:45 AM.

All Temple Israel classes are available to the public free of charge, and without regard to congregational affiliation.
